I would estimate it was made in the second half of the 19th century and it is beautifully wrought with silver plated chasing and red niello enamel. The picture or plaque measures about 29 centimeters by 21 centimeters and is about 1.7 centimeters thick. It weighs approximately 906 grams. It is in good condition with a red felt backing which is peeling away and worn in places. This is a handsome plaque which would look great in anyone’s collection.
