Antique German silver Niello ladies pocket watch made by Theodor Elsass, royal watch maker at the court of Wilhelm II in Wiesbaden, the emperor’s favourite summer residence. The watch weights 27.57 gram and has a diameter of 3.5 cm. The Niello enamelling is damaged as visible in the pictures. The silver purity is of 71% following an XRF scan. The watch can be wind up and is working as such, probably could use a professional cleaning. Keeps time with a 20 minutes lateness.

Hello dear customers, up for sale a rare antique pocket folding knife with two blades. Attributed to Solingen knifes factories. Unmarked carbon steel blades. Featuring silver grips with waves niello enamel decoration and inaly gold scroll ornaments. The knife is excellent condition on grips and blades are still sharp, minor patina on steel due to age. Found at an estate sale in Paris, not sure for its age or history other than it came from an estate of a world traveler and antique collector. Mesures: 2.75” folded. Blades: 1.75” and 1.5′. This antique French pocket watch is a true gem for any collector. The niello decorated nickel case gives it a unique and stylish look that is sure to catch the eye. The niello case is in good condition, it has just one tiny ding on the rear opening, the face is in perfect condition, with no visible cracks and the crystal is also perfect. This is an antique lady’s pocket watch. Made circa 1900 in Switzerland of 800 silver with rose gold detail on the back. It is a 10 ruby watch. The back features a niello type decoration in an Art Nouveau style with fronds. There is a rose gold plaque etched with a rabbit coming out of a hat. Beautiful Antique Art Deco Swiss Niello 800 Silver Full Hunter Pocket Watch. This stunning pocket watch was hand made in Switzerland around the 1920s and features a beautiful Niello Silver case with silver dial, small second at the 6 position, Arabic numerals, and sleek black hands. Niello is a black mixture, usually of sulphur, copper, silver, and lead, used as an inlay on engraved or etched silver. It is added as a powder or paste, then fired until it melts or at least softens, and flows or is pushed into the engraved lines in the metal. It hardens and blackens when cool, and the niello on the flat surface is polished off to show the filled lines in black, contrasting with the polished silver around it.
