Truly rare antique vesta completely decorated with black niello motifs. Typically caucasian silver work with traditional geometric and floral motifs niello. Hinged snap lid and iron ribbed striker applied on side. Marked on the lid inside and on the bottom. The vesta is excellent preserved with insignificant surface markings of time. The lid open/close fit excellent. Found at an estate sale in Paris not sure for its age or history other than it came from an estate of a world traveler and antiques collector. X 30mm x 10mm.
