Hello dear customers, I’m happy to offer one antique circa late 19th century book shape figurative vesta case match holder. Russian silver 84/875 purity mark and master mark AK. Truly rare antique vesta completely decorated with black niello motifs. Typically caucasian silver work with traditional geometric and floral motifs niello. Hinged snap lid and iron ribbed striker applied on side. Marked on the lid inside and on the bottom. The vesta is excellent preserved with insignificant surface markings of time. The lid open/close fit excellent. Found at an estate sale in Paris not sure for its age or history other than it came from an estate of a world traveler and antiques collector. X 30mm x 10mm. Excellent condition with no damage. Measures 3 3/4″ wide including handle x 2 5/8″ inner diameter x 3 1/2tall. Marked 875 with Russian Soviet silver marks. It is absolutely breathtaking & would make a wonderful addition to your collection. The two are very slightly different. I cannot find any makers or purity marks, but both acid test as genuine silver. One weighs about 65.4 grams. One weighs about 65.7 grams. Acid tests as genuine silver. We have two other pairs for sale. Each is about 3 tall at the tallest point.
