Antique Russian silver Niello snuff box. This is a PRETTY and UNIQUE niello silver snuff box (tobacco box). ALL hand engraved and Niello technique, it is a technique of adding sulfur and other alloy to the engraved silver (like enamel). Marked on cover and base. I believe it is Moscow stamped, with 84 (silver purity). Maker’s mark ITS (Cyrillic)(see photo). Please see photos carefully to admire the beauty of the work.
