Ottaman niello 19th century huge silver ring 19g with Lapis lazuli seal a stunningly beautiful antique LA63v.
This is a very handsome and beautifully crafted antique RUSSIAN STERLING SILVER NIELLO SNUFF BOX. It measures 3 1/4″ in length, 2 3/8″ wide, and 1/2 deep. Niello is a black metallic alloy of sulfur with copper, silver and lead that is used to fill designs that have been engraved on the surface of a metal, usually and in this case, silver. There is no monogram or removal. This piece is in excellent estate condition, and weighs 76 grams or 2.7 standard ounces. FREE scheduling, supersized images and templates. Get Vendio Sales Manager.
