A pair of Russian Soviet era silver cups. Made in Veliky Ustyug, Northeast Russia. The bodies are decorated with a niello flowers and berries pattern. The rims and the interior are gilt. Both items have a 875 silver standard mark and SCh7 assay mark on the bottom. SCh7 stands for Severnaya Chern, North Niello, 1957. Total Weight: 90 grams. Collectible Silverware, Tableware And Serveware. OVERALL GOOD ANTIQUE CONDITION. SIGNS OF WEAR AND AGE. H 2 3/8 IN. ALL MEASUREMENTS ARE APPROXIMATE. The item is in good condition for its age, and did not have any repairs. Typical silver with Cyrillic maker’s mark and hallmarks. The exterior has a finely detailed engraved images of the graving ornament. Stamped with the Russian Silver Hallmarks 84. The spoon are essentially perfect, no wear of any kind visible to the unaided eye. The silver retains beautiful luster throughout. The two are very slightly different. I cannot find any makers or purity marks, but both acid test as genuine silver. One weighs about 65.4 grams. One weighs about 65.7 grams. Acid tests as genuine silver. We have two other pairs for sale. Each is about 3 tall at the tallest point.

Rare vintage Russian silver gilt 916 purity basket with handle. It measures approximately 4 ” by 4.25 ” and approximately 4.5 inches tall with the handle extended. Total weight 4.8 Troy ounces or approximately 136 grams. The border of the basket has an intricate Niello design with a central cartouche depicting a mountain scene. The top border has a scalloped reticulated edge. The basket handle folds up or down easily. The inside of the basket and the inside of the basket handle are gold. Hallmarked on the underside with a 916 purity mark.

Up for your consideration vintage 1950s niello gilded silver engraved glass holder; bearing 875 Moscow silver mark and unidentified mark of jewelry factory. Excellent condition consistent with age and use. H (w/handle) – 3 ¾”; Base diameter – 2 ¾”. There is NO RETURN for items unless I have made a fundamental mistake in my item description. Beautiful Vintage Soviet Russian 875 Silver Niello Design Vodka Cup. A beautiful piece featuring masterfully chased floral ornaments and Niello decor. Niello is a black mixture, usually of sulphur, copper, silver, and lead, used as an inlay on engraved or etched silver. It is added as a powder or paste, then fired until it melts or at least softens, and flows or is pushed into the engraved lines in the metal. It hardens and blackens when cool, and the Niello on the flat surface is polished off to show the filled lines in black, contrasting with the polished silver around it. 2 1/4″ tall x 1 3/8″ in diameter at the top and weighs approx.
